Showgard Stamp Hinges (Pack of 1000)

Overview

What it is and who it's for

Showgard stamp hinges arrive in packs of 1000, offering collectors a dependable and time-tested method for mounting unused or lightly used stamps into albums without risking damage to delicate paper fibers. Each hinge is pre-folded and manufactured from a thin, translucent glassine material coated with a gentle, peelable gum that activates with light moisture. This gum formulation is specifically engineered to adhere securely enough to keep stamps in place during normal handling and page turning, yet remain removable later should a collector wish to reposition a stamp or transfer it to a different mount or album page.

For collectors building general collections, working with duplicates, or organizing lower-value stamps where mounts may be considered unnecessary expense, Showgard hinges provide an economical and space-efficient alternative. The pack of 1000 ensures that hobbyists have an ample supply on hand for extensive sorting sessions, large collections spanning multiple countries, or classroom and club settings where many stamps need mounting at once. Because each hinge is individually pre-gummed and pre-folded, there is no need for cutting or additional folding, which speeds up the mounting process considerably and reduces the chance of misalignment or wasted material.

Showgard has long been recognized within philately for producing mounting supplies that balance affordability with archival consideration, and this hinge pack reflects that same commitment to quality. The glassine material resists yellowing and brittleness over time when stored properly, helping preserve both the hinge and the stamp it supports. Whether used by beginning collectors organizing a first album, seasoned philatelists managing large accumulations, or dealers preparing stock books for sale, this bulk pack of Showgard stamp hinges remains a practical, reliable staple for anyone engaged in the ongoing work of stamp collecting and preservation.
